SOWING:
Direct seed (recommended) – Prepare weed-free field or bed area. Broadcast mixture evenly over area. Lightly rake seed and gently tamp into soil to ensure good seed-to-soil contact. Seed should be no deeper than 1/8″. Keep area moist to aid germination. Planting Times: Plant in late spring, early summer, or late fall. For fall sowing, wait until the soil temperature is too cool to allow seed germination (below 40ºF/4.4ºC).

We’d seen ads for flowers like this which are supposed to grow well in rocks and rough soil, but they seemed to be a few inches tall. It was not until we actually got the package that we found these grow to almost three feet tall. That wa our mistake. That being said, they germinated well and grew well. They are pretty, but now what we expected.

I was a little skeptical about ordering seeds online, but I’m so glad I did. The seeds germinated incredibly well, and within a few weeks I had a beautiful patch of healthy zinnias. I actually planted more than I needed because I expected a lower germination rate, but almost every seed sprouted. The flowers have been colorful, healthy, and easy to grow. My mom is so happy with her new flowers!!! And so are we!!! She planted them in April, and in about 5 months they’re in full bloom, and they’re so pretty!!! Not all of the seeds sprouted, but the ones that did, wow! Also, not all plants sprouted or bloomed at the same time. We have observed that they like the sun and being on the ground, as the ones in pots are growing much more slowly. Some plants in the picture are not from this pack, like the impatiens, the periwinkles, or the sunflowers.
