Small, 1/2–3/4″ pristine white flowers make an airy, delicate cut-flower filler for bouquets and centerpieces. These multi-stemmed plants are highly productive and fast-growing. Because of their short bloom window, succession planting is highly recommended for a continuous harvest through the entire summer. Also known commonly as baby’s breath, “gyp,” and showy baby’s-breath.

Grows beautifully across the US in USDA Zones 2–11 as an annual. Plant in relatively poor soil. Counter-intuitively, highly rich or heavily fertilized soil causes this plant to experience overly vigorous, weak growth that will easily be beaten down by wind and rain.
Sowing Method
Direct seed (Recommended): After the last frost, sow seeds 1/8" deep and barely cover with soil.
Transplant: Sow indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Transplant into cell packs or larger containers when the first true leaves appear. Harden off and transplant outside after the last frost.

Seeds typically germinate in 7-14 days at an optimal soil temperature of 70-72°F (21-22°C).
Succession Planting
Baby's Breath blooms very quickly and has a relatively short flowering window. To ensure a continuous supply of beautiful white blooms throughout the entire summer, sow a new batch of seeds every 2 weeks.
