Hardiness Zones & Care
USDA Zones 2-11. Watering: Requires consistent, moderate moisture. An initial watering dissolves the pellet; if soil dries out before germination, seeds fail.
Storage: Protect from heat/humidity in a cool, dark place. Use within 1 year of purchase.
Sowing Strategy
Sow every 2–3 weeks for a continuous supply of full heads or baby salad mix. Hardy cool-weather crop best grown at 60–65°F (16–18°C).
Thermal Dormancy & Temperatures
Optimum Germination: 60–68°F (15.5–20°C).
Note on Thermal Dormancy: High soil temps (>70°F/21°C) can cause lettuce seeds to enter thermal dormancy. The special priming in our pelleted seeds broadens this temperature tolerance to help overcome summer heat.
