This single-stem, pollenless variety is ideal for cut flower production. It produces gorgeous 4–6″ blooms and is highly uniform in maturity. It makes a fantastic early option, maturing 10–14 days before the Sunbright variety. It is also excellent for succession planting alongside the ProCut® series for a continuous, high-quality harvest all season long.

Hardiness Zones & Soil
USDA Zones 1-11. Highly adaptable warm-season annuals that thrive across the US. Requires light, well-drained soil in full sun. Avoid excessive nitrogen, as this can cause plants to grow too vigorously resulting in abnormal flower shapes.
Sowing Method
Direct Seed (Recommended): Sow 1/2" deep after the last frost.
Transplant: Sunflowers dislike root disturbance. However, for a first-early crop, you can sow into 72 to 50-cell flats 2-3 weeks prior to planting out outdoors. Handle roots very carefully.
Temperatures & Germination
Seeds typically germinate rapidly in 7-14 days at an optimal soil temperature of 70-75°F (21-24°C).
Plant Spacing & Succession
Space plants 4-6" apart. Note: Flower size and stem diameter are controlled by plant spacing, temperature, and soil type. Succession-sow every 1-2 weeks and/or plant multiple varieties with varied days to maturity for a continuous harvest.
Crucial Care: Do Not Pinch
Do not pinch plants. This is a single-stem variety. Pinched single-stem sunflowers will produce low-quality blooms or no blooms at all.
Harvest
Fresh Cut: Flowers can be harvested tight, when color first shows, or when almost completely open, depending on your market and preferred use.
Dried: Harvest when flowers are completely open. Hang to dry or use silica gel.
