Pomegranates thrive in full sun (at least 6-8 hours daily) and well-draining soil with a pH of 5.5–7.2. They adapt well to various soil types including sandy or loamy soils, but excellent drainage is vital to prevent root issues.
Sowing Method
Indoors: Clean pulp from the seeds, rinse, and dry for a day. Sow seeds ¼" to ½" deep in a warm, moist, sterile seed-starting mix. Cover with plastic wrap or a dome to maintain moisture until sprouts emerge.

Optimum Germination: 75–85°F (24–29°C). Using a seedling heat mat helps secure consistent warmth. Germination typically takes 30 to 45 days.
Plant Spacing
Space plants 10–15 feet apart in-ground. If growing in containers, use a 15–20 gallon pot to allow proper root space for mature growth.

Pruning: Remove suckers from the base annually and prune lightly in late winter to maintain an open shape and encourage robust fruiting wood.
Harvest & Storage
Harvest when fruits develop a deep metallic sound when tapped and the skin turns a rich red-yellow hue. Store whole fruits in a cool, dry area for up to a month, or extract the arils and refrigerate/freeze them.
