Sprouts are medium-large, round, and very dense. The plants are medium-tall, upright, and resist lodging (sturdy stems won't topple over as they grow). Similar to Dagan, but a few days later and with the added benefit of intermediate resistance to black rot. USDA Certified Organic.

Hardiness Zones
Zones 3–10 (Cool-Season Annual). Tolerates frost well; excellent for fall/winter harvesting.
Sowing Method
Transplant: Sow ¼" deep, 4–6 weeks before planting out.
Direct Sow: 3 seeds every 18", ¼–½" deep, approx. 4 months before expected fall frost. Thin to 1 plant.
Temperatures
Optimum Germination: 50–86°F (10–30°C)
Prefers cooler growing conditions to produce firm, sweet sprouts.
Plant Spacing
Space 18–24 inches between plants, in rows 30–36 inches apart.
Culture
Prefers irrigated, fertile soil with a pH above 6.0. Maintain steady growth with well-fertilized soil, especially in dry weather.
Care & Topping
For uniform maturity (whole-stalk harvesting), "top" the plants by pinching out the growing point when lower sprouts reach ½–¾" in diameter.
Pests & Diseases
Treat flea beetles with pyrethrin/azadirachtin. Use Bt for cabbage worms. Adhere to strict sanitation and crop rotations to prevent black rot/leg.

Harvest & Storage
Pick after frost. Break off leaf below sprout, snap off sprout. Before ground freezes, pull plants by roots and store in a humid cooler at 32°F (0°C) or cold cellar for 4–6 weeks.
