Zones 3–10 (Cool-Season Annual). Plant early spring in all zones; fall sowing (Aug–Sep) only for areas with winter lows above 10°F (-12°C). Avoid summer planting in hot southern regions.

Direct sow 1" deep as soon as the soil can be worked in early spring.
